Dangerous Goods
Shipping dangerous goods is a serious business. Dangerous goods, also referred to as "Restricted Articles", are described as articles or substances that are capable of posing a significant risk to health, safety or property when transported by air (IATA Dangerous Goods Regulation, 42nd Edition, Section 1, 1.0 pg. 1). All dangerous goods must be declared and packed according to DG regulations. Most dangerous goods can be safely transported by air if they are in approved quantities and properly packaged and handled.
Many seemingly "harmless" items used every day around the workplace or house may be regulated as dangerous goods/hazardous material when transported by air. Law requires proper labelling, packing, documentation and training to ship materials that fall under the broad definition of "dangerous goods". Our acceptance of dangerous goods is in compliance with the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and all established domestic and international rules and regulations.
